Good watch. Only suitable if you have a large wrist, the lugs may overhang if you have thin wrists which won't look good. The face is flat black but the textured lettering catch the light quite nicely. Quality is good, Hamilton have always been under rated. The movement is pretty basic, a Hamilton variant based on eta variant the really basic eta 2824 lol. Low frequency, Ticks 6 times a second. Noticeable but not a big deal at all for me. Overall a good watch. Surprisingly not as heavy as I expected. 7.5/10

My first Hamilton automatic watch, and I'm not disappointed. The large dial is eye catching and looks great dressed up or down. My new favourite in my watch collection.

Review of The Hamilton Khaki Pilot Automatic 46mm watch.
    Model number H64715135.

Having had this watch now for a few days, I can honestly say I love it. I am a fan of pilot watches and especially the Type B dial, but I will try to write an unbiased review.
Overall I find it to be a beautiful and modern take on the traditional pilot watch. It is clearly modelled on the B-Uhr Type B pilot style, yet is different enough to stand out from the myriad of Type B pilots that we see today. It is very large at 46mm (excluding crown), and has day and date complications at the 3 o'clock position.

    THE DIAL
The dial is truly the star of the show! This version is black but I believe it also comes in grey and blue variants. For me, black goes really well with the silver stainless steel bracelet. The minute numerals are raised, lightly brushed stainless steel indices, with a triangle (without the traditional dots) at the 12 o clock position. The triangle points downward and adds to the individuality of the watch, rather than being just another homage. The placement of the indices is perfectly aligned and the light brushing on their surface is uniform and parallel.
The hands on the watch are non-traditional and have a sword like shape to them. They are partially skeletal with the inner portion of the minutes hand and the outer portion of the hour hand that track the inner dial on the face perfectly. This skeletal aspect allows the hour hand to frame each hour on the inner dial and also the date at 3 o’clock, a really nice touch. The second hand extends all the way to the outer edge of the dial, and with its arrow shaped tip allows for an accurate reading. The solid portions of the hands and the outer indices of the dial are coated with superluminova C1 lume, and while perfectly acceptable, I would not consider it to be of very high quality.
The day and date are at the 3 o’clock position and are readily visible due to being on a white background. They align very neatly with the day and date being separated by the inner dial, showing good attention to detail. The inner dial has the traditional "HAMILTON" printed in white just below the 12 o’clock position, and "KHAKI AUTOMATIC" just above the 6 o'clock position. The raised stainless steel numerals are lightly brushed and reflect light at different angles giving the face of the watch an ever changing look. They are almost always easy to see except in very low light.

Overall I find the dial to be quite unique, yet still exhibits all the traits of the Type B pilot dial. The flat sapphire crystal that covers it is clear and not overly reflective. In the short time I have owned the watch it has not picked up any scratches, however this is to be expected.

    THE BRACELET
The strap on this model is a stainless steel bracelet with fairly solid but not overly thick links. The centre links are slightly raised with a bevelled edge and this gives the bracelet a look and feel of real quality. The clasp is a single step deployment with button pushers and is signed with ‘HAMILTON’ on the outer side. When opened the stainless steel elbow joint is also signed and further adds to the overall refinement. Although a fairly substantial and heavy bracelet, I find it very comfortable to wear. If I were to pick fault here it would be that the clasp only has 2 positons for size adjustment.

    THE CASE
The brushed case is nicely sculpted and the lugs curve down nicely towards the bracelet, and this adds to the comfort when wearing it. The screw down crown has the traditional ‘H’ signed on the top and is protected by the case. The case has a sapphire crystal exhibition back held in place by 4 screws, further evidence of the overall build quality. The thickness of the case is 12.5mm and this sits perfectly on my 7 ¼ inch wrist. Water resistance is stated to be 20 bar (200M), but I am not prepared to test this!

    THE MOVEMENT
The watch houses a Swiss Made Elabore Grade ETA 2836-2 movement visible through the exhibition case back. As far as I am aware this is a standard 2824-2 movement with an added ‘Day’ complication. The rotor is signed ‘HAMILTON’ but no further decorations are visible.
After only a few days of ownership and use, the movement is currently running at -1 second per day! I take my watch off when I go to bed and leave it in a face up position. This currently gains 1 second overnight making the time absolutely spot on! I have no other automatic watches that can get anywhere close to this. Although very early days I hope this accuracy continues for a long time to come.

    CONCLUSION
To me this is one of the most unique and modern takes on the pilot watch. It has all the key elements you would expect in a traditional pilot, but with the added benefits of polished and brushed surfaces, along with a high quality bracelet, it also works very nicely as a dress watch.
